What format are you rendering to? Uncompressed AVI and some others won’t paly back smooth even on fast computers like yours. Try remdering as The highest .WMV format and watch that. It should play back fine. Hope this helps, Danny Hays

Look at other game captures with the intensity at 720p compaired to yours. yours isnt bad at all. we are talking youtube. It’ll never look as good as the mjpeg. Youtube re-encodes everything you send. Hope this helps, Danny Hays

Vegas has no spill suppression in it’s chromakey pluggin. If the lighting isn’t perfect, Backlight your subject well. some use a magenta backlight as it’s the opposite color from green and can cancel out some spill, Vegas’s isn’t worth using otherwise. Newblue is better and has spill suppression but if you have access to Keylight (After Effects 7 or later) or Ultra Key, those in my opinion are the best keyers around.

Try setting your project prefs to HDV 1440 x 1080 24.97, Progressive and set deinterlace type to blend. You should see a difference right away in the preview, at least you should not see any interlace lines. Also render to Progressive, blend as well. Hope this helps, Danny Hays

I’m seeing like Alf. I would try it without that third party pluggin and see. I run 9e on W7 64 and never have a problem.

I’m sticking with that same firmware and software version as it works, where any of the newer downloads do not, at least with my machine. My Motherboard is the Asus P6X58D-Premium.
So if it works, don’t fix it. I would think BM would fully test their new firmware and software releases before releasing them, but for under $200, It’s still a fantastic device I think. -
I’m actually talking 29.97 and 59.94. When you click on a file in Vegas’s Project media tab ot explorer tab, it’ll tell the res and framerate and format just unter the window.
I don’t see any pourpose rendering a 29.97 or 30 to 59.94 or 60 as
you wont realy get that many different frames since the original clip doesn’t have that many. Also what can you play it on anyway?
I don’t have a camera yet that records at that high framerate, so I downloaded some sample .mts files from the Panasonic TM700 HD camcorder. They are ACVHD .mts 1920 x 1080 x12 59.94 progressive files. They are highly compressed and even my i7 can play them back without stuttering.I was able to render one as .WMV 1920 x 1080 59.94 and it plays and looks fantastic. The best looking video I’ve ever seen by far from a camera under 1000$. Bluray discs don’t support 1920 x 1080p 59.94 so unless your going to play them on a fast computer or in their original format from the camera’s HDMI out, there’s no otherways to play them yet. Vegas Pro 9, CS5’s Premier and After Effects can edit the .mts files and render as .wmv and that’s good enough for me right now. Fast moving video would look great at that framerate, or making some slow motion, half speed would have 30 frames per second and look as good as regular HD.

I had trouble with Media Express 2.2 locking up my machine, so I went back to 2.1 and it works fine, with Motion jpeg.
