    Hi Folks!

    I need som help here..

I got some problem when rendering my hdv 25f footage in Vegas 9 for dvd architect. The result doesnt give me the result i want, its not sharp enough and it looks like it got som interlace problems during paning.

I’ve selected best quality and Lower Field First.

Do anyone know how i can get the best result for making DVD out of my hdv fottage?

    Thanks alot!

I add a TOUCH of sharpening (using Sony’s FX) and have kept some of the “sparkle” if you will. Be careful though if you are having interlacing issues. Try a short section and see if that helps!!! I always do this at the very end of my renders. Meaning, I render to 720p first then to MPEG 2 for DVD, at that stage I add my shapening…good luck!

Try setting your project prefs to HDV 1440 x 1080 24.97, Progressive and set deinterlace type to blend. You should see a difference right away in the preview, at least you should not see any interlace lines. Also render to Progressive, blend as well. Hope this helps, Danny Hays
