Using a new Dell with the following specs:

    Intel Core i7-930 processor(8MB L2 Cache, 2.80GHz)
    9GB DDR3 SDRAM at 1333MHz
    ATI Radeon HD5670 1GB GDDR5
1.5TB Serial ATA 2 Hard Drive 7200 RPM

When I render using either Vegas 8 pro or Movie Studio HD Platinum 10 I get choppy video when I try to view the rendered file in windows media player. I use the 1080i-60 template. Any ideas?

What format are you rendering to? Uncompressed AVI and some others won’t paly back smooth even on fast computers like yours. Try remdering as The highest .WMV format and watch that. It should play back fine. Hope this helps, Danny Hays

I just tried the mp4 format and it worked. I will also use the WMV in the future. Thanks!
