I have the TM700 and can get the mts files through Windows explorer with the camera connected via USB or I can use the HD Writer software and it imports them as .m2ts. Vegas edits them both and I can’t see a quality difference, but there is some kind of difference between the two, at least with the TM700 files, as the HD Writer and player will only see the .m2ts files. Even if I change the .mts extension to m2ts, the HD Writer software won’t see or play them.
The only reason I would use the HD Writer software is, it’ll play back the m2ts files very smoothly, but Media Player classic, Power DVD, spash will play the mts files just as smoothly.

Blackmagic is very specific on the hardware needed for their products, at least for the Intensity Shuttle. I would research their site and the required hardware needed for the capture device your looking at using. Danny Hays

Vegas supports direct-x plugins so install as direct x and choose the location, program files, Sony, shared plugins, audio, and they should showup in your audio effects the next time you launch Vegas. Vegas also supports VST plugins. Click options, preferences, VST effects, and choose a folder where you will install them.

Oh yea, If you want it in surround sound, the TM700 can record the audio that way, switch the Project settings, audio tab, drop down stereo and select 5.1. Danny

You will need to set your project settings for the TM700 files.
File,Properties.
Then Open the Vegas help file and search, Blu-Ray render, and this will show you how to proceed. Hope this helps, Danny Hays
