Hi. Probably need to reset your P RAM. Power down, unplug all peripherals. Leave for a couple of minutes then plug all back in and power up again. That should fix it.

Ok. Should anyone have the same problem – rolled the Avid Unity Fibre Manager back to v5.2 and seems to be fixed.

Completely deleted and reinstalled the FCP Startup HD. Still crashing.

Nah. Only 3rd party stuff at the moment is the Matrox MXO mini and AJA IO express.

Yeah, still can be. Not quite as severely as the version 2 days, but can still cause problems.

Hi. Thanks again for your reply. Just managed to get it. Rendered out as straight and then tweaked my import settings according to this post i found over at the avid forum (not been on there since my trainee days!)

Come very counter-intuitive settings there re: colour space & not inverting alpha.

So thanks, your advice was perfect – just had to then re-tweak the Avid import settings in a way that runs contrary to all past experience.
