No good so far i’m afraid. Re-rendered as straight and the qt imports as completely transparent.

They will work ok together. However, their respective system requirements re: QT & version of the OS will change at different rates over time as new version/software updates are released. I would recommend adding a second internal hard drive and dual booting for the appropriate NLE.

While normally I would recommend Avid as my NLE of choice (the trim tool is the best on the market by far) I think for ease of transition in terms of both hardware and transferable skills and media – Adobe Premiere is probably the way to go.

it has a project repair app included, and is free for a trial period. -
I just cracked open Motion 5 and thought “now we’re getting somewhere – this is where I can control my effects properly” but can you really not send a clip to and from FCP X to Motion 5? Really?

No trouble. One other thought – have you tried getting it from the autosave vault?

Hi. Had this error today myself, but on autosave project files. found that manually adding .fcp to the end made it work. Somewhere else i saw it mentioned that you should name it a .txt file, then name it .fcp.

Just discovered that it would seem the slot config is hardwired on the Westmere Mac Pros. Hoping correcting the pci slot order helps.
