Any updates to this issue? We are attempting to transcode Flex fines and have the same issue. Are there any LUTs available we can apply?

    Hi Andy

Yes they do match. The master file is plays out of sync even in the source window. Back in the finder however it is fine. There must be something in my FCP settings that is causing this.

    Hi Andy

I don’t want to bag out anyone here but the key on the free footage were the ones I was referring to. The CU on the Asian girl in particular is atrocious. No way we could use it for a film output. Makes me worried about the other shots. We’d have to redo the keys and I’m not sure if the original footage is available. Have asked them though.

    Hi all

Thanks for your responses to this. This is a major investment for a small outfit like us so I’m really glad I asked the question.
We’ve asked for a number of quotes from different providers and found it difficult to get what we needed.

We like Bob’s setup so will probably find out what the best way is forward in this direction. The only problem is we’re in Sydney Australia so hopefully there is someone locally who’s done it a few times.

Thanks again for all the responses

    Hi Guys

Thanks for this. We couldn’t get 3d stroke to work in the end [though I’m sure there is a way – we’re just a bit under the hammer]. What we’ve decided to do is a 2d stoke instead using the regular Stoke filter. As the camera zooms quite fast and is close in the shear number combined with motion blur kinda fools the eye.

    However….

Our problem is now that because the bulbs are oriented to camera [Y only] we can’t parent them to the cables or the entire thing will move. What we want to do is have the bulbs bob up and down like balloons and automatically bend the stoke using the mask vertice.

IS there a way to easily do this?

    Any help appreciated

    Cheers

Had scaled my null so that was the reason for the distortion.

All sorted now for anyone this may help!

ok. I’ve tried ging down the path of a parented Null. I orientate the null first so I can get the right axis which matches the angle of the mask but as soon as I parent the layer the artwork layer moves and appears skewed.

THis is a basic orientation problem but it is doing my head in with a looming deadline!

Actually I’m at the minimum of smoothing out these lines out at 99 fps. Any ideas on how I could get it up to 100 then divide by 4 instead?
