The problem is you have no good tracking points in this shot. If it’s a nice smooth pan, you could probably keyframe the position of the text to make it look like it is in one spot fairly easily.

I’d also wait. I think 2015.3 is really great and there aren’t any huge new features that I can see to justify the potential (probable) headaches that come from upgrading now.

Just FYI, this exact thing is an Andrew Kramer tutorial. I recommend learning the concepts and then adding your own twist as there are probably thousands of copies of this on Youtube now.

Your view is set to “Top”. You just need to switch it back to “Active Camera”. The selection is next to the checkerboard button.

Are you exporting final delivery files? As many find out the hard way, Adobe’s Quicktime H.264 compression is garbage. A good workflow is to export a ProRes master of your final file and use Media Encoder to create the final delivery file (I find H.264 MP4 to be excellent). Of course it depends on what you’re exporting the file for.

If you want it to grow more organically too, you can download ink bleed stock footage and use that as a track matte for you expanding territory.

Odd that it is not working. A work-around is to create a new 1280×720 comp, drop your finished comp in that and scale it down. Then export that smaller composition.
