You could try this expression in your first layer, then every time you duplicate the layer, it will be slightly offset on the y axis:
position+[0,(index-1)*4]
(change the “4” to change how much the layers are offset)
That obviously only solves a small part of your question. Ideally you could link the number of duplicated layers to a Slider Control, but I’m not sure how to do that.
Alternatively, it seems like a combination of the Array script and the Rift Script may help also speed up the process.
