Thanks for sharing that with us Ben, that’s pretty impressive for 2Mb/s.
I do however have one comment, what on earth is going on with the colour; everybody looks like they have applied far too much fake tan, there’s a general orange cast to the whole trailer.

What was your source?

The best Mac based encoding application is Episode, it’s also the best for producing WMV’s and MBR WMV’s

Sorenson AVC is slightly better than Quicktime. Not that 90% of the audience would notice!

Aarrggh.

Beautiful BetaSP being murdered by this device through composite. BetaSP deserves component.
But anyway – it’s a budget device, don’t expect much from it.

Shame on you!
This is a broadcast forum but dealing with this kind of setup automatically takes you out of the broadcast space as the quality will be shot to pieces

Open Squeeze, input a source file.
Select one of the MPEG-4 presets and apply the preset.
Open the Audio/Video Compression Settings for the preset you applied.
Set the Video Codec to Sorenson AVC, then click OK and Squeeze away.

1. Exporting to the web in MPEG-2 is a BIG no-no. MPEG-2 is a broadcast and DVD format that is simply not suitable for the web.

2. Are you actually using Final Cut Pro to do your transcoding, or are you using compressor, which comes as park of Final Cut studio?
