  • using sorenson – compress to QT container with h.264?

I have Sorenson Squeeze 4.5 Compression Suite, and was wondering if I could compress to the h.264 codec? I’m working with Native Same as Source files in Quicktime…but right now, I convert using Quicktime Pro…it creates much better quality images at lower file sizes…but I can only use the Sorenson 3 QT Codec.

    Am I missing something?

Open Squeeze, input a source file.
Select one of the MPEG-4 presets and apply the preset.
Open the Audio/Video Compression Settings for the preset you applied.
Set the Video Codec to Sorenson AVC, then click OK and Squeeze away.

    Great!!

I found it…I don’t know what the heck I was thinking…it was right in front of my face the whole time.

Quick question on codec…has anyone had more luck with one codec over another? – Apple AVC vs Sorenson AVC?

Sorenson AVC is slightly better than Quicktime. Not that 90% of the audience would notice!
