I have been toying with creating different masks and using ramp and luma mattes, I am getting some ideas. There are some interesting things that can be done with Spicemaster, but alas there is no Mac version (bummer.) I am a fan of that idea, but the director loves organic looking transitions, so I thought I would come to the best to see if some ideas could come from it. Thanks

August 14, 2006 at 9:05 pm in reply to: Urgent!!! Please Help, Exporting XML from 5.1 to 5.04Well, here is how I handled my situation for people who have this odd occurance. First, I took all of the files and put them into a single sequence, pre-composing or nesting em, however you wish to call it. Second, I did a media manage on those files and that set up the new project file. Then I closed down the current project file and opened the new one. Finally I exported out the new sequences from the media managed files, and that did the trick, but the original problem will baffle me for a while, I don’t understand why this happend

August 14, 2006 at 7:17 pm in reply to: Urgent!!! Please Help, Exporting XML from 5.1 to 5.04I have tried it every which way, version 1 and version 2, with and without master clips, and nothing yet. Could it be with labeling of clips, or what? I can’t figure this one out.
It isn’t this hard or frustrating usually, what could I be doing wrong?Daniel Elder

I am looking for a sparkle that would make a product glow, it would be very simple, a few stars, no movement, just an adjustment of the brightness at a random, and has a very shiney kind of situation. I don’t know how best to describe it, but it would be something like “The Fablous life of the Rich and Famous” something more like a glitter. That just highlights the product. Does that help at all?

Wow, thanks for the explanation Dave.
First off, your correct I am using a Key from DV shot footage, now here is some other info. I had the subject sitting on a chair that we isolated, then a cushion which we isolated then the actor on the chair which we isolated, then he is moving a lot while sitting on the chair. So unfortunately we do have a couple of hot spots, but they are relative to the subject sitting on the chair, so the shadows bounce in a safe manner. I will give the pre-blur a try and see what kind of outputs I acheive with that. I am still tweaking with all the different settings to see what are the best settings to acheive for this sort of movement. But I appreciate your explanation, thanks.
