I believe the flv plugin cones with flash installation … I think it’s been a while since I installed flash – check on the laptop for apps that are not on the tower hope this helps – I use visualhub which does batch encodes and awesome flv

Seeing it is a color space of 422 you need episode – compressor can only do 420 mpef – episode is great as it intergrates into compressor – I know this cause I spent 5 years in a company called Adstream – we digitally delivered over a million tvc

I had this on my old Oct Mac Pro –

Turn the machine off unplug it from the computer and see if the grachic card is seated correctly … if that is fine plug the old girl back in and hold the power swittch on for 5 – 7 seconds – you will either hear a cry for help in the way of a loud beep or the led on the power switch will flash – this is a PRAM reset – this flashes out all the nastys that can cause issue… failing that trash FCP preferences and see how that goes ..

Greg try a program called handbrake – it. Will spit out a h264 but if it is not for broadcast you will be fine – if it is macrovision you are a little stuck there are mac the tippers out there but beware of the copyright monster !

Does the file have the .mov on it in pc land – also read write permissions ? What pro res flavour – hq 4444 ?
