Hi Dave, another option would to use Telestream Episode to watch the ftp it can stitch on the top and tail and will spit out a Broadcast ready file – Option 2 is to use Teamviewer remote desktop to remote in from home onto the edit machine and do the 5 min edit – – do both options on a daily basis – even spit out a low res proxie and email it to yourself to check quality

Try re seating the decklink card by re installing it – the same thing happed to me when I moved my box – I also had to uninstall and reinstall the drivers !!! Hope that helps – also in decklink preferences go through the sdi comp and whatever other ones you have this can reset the output

Cheers guys for the feedback – just curious if anyone is using this …. I have it when I bought Creative Suite and low and behold i find out AFTER my last project – go figure !

I am normally editing in ProRes and I am a little annoyed at the workflow – but hell what ya going to do !

Anyway lets see what NAB is going to bring …. maybe FLAME for under 5k ! 😉

Hi Andrew,

2 things what colour spacing is the mpeg -422 or 420, 420 can be made in compressor and is a DVD standard – 422 can’t be made in compressor

Secondly never trust QuickTime for frame height download video spec a free app – drag the mpg in and all of you results are made for you

I work at Adstream – uk and europes leaders in commercial delivery and I recieve and distribute to over 700 broadcasters every day

I had the exact issue with internal raid -2 month old disk failed – do a permissions on the main drive and send the renders to main drive to see if faster – it might also be a permissions issue with the render folder – worse case dump preferences ….

I am totally for it – I mean look how many Hardware 8 cores running 64bit are out there – I am expecting a KONA hook up for I/O so it would make AutoDesk a small fortune – It’s the PricePoint that is the Ket – If Apple were to bring out Final Cut Extreme (what a rumour) then this would show Apples true colours at the Pro Market – Adobe must be watching from a distance as well.

Lets face it Smoke is for the select few that can afford it – once it is made to the masses – does the art suffer or expand ?
