    Hello,

I’m having problems opening up my copy of Final Cut Studio 2.

It’s been working fine for some time. I reinstalled my decklink software for my blackmagic card and this is the error message it gave me when trying to start up Final Cut:

‘Final Cut Pro requires that your system have a quartz extreme capture video card’

    (see atached image)

I cant even use Final Cut anymore, can anyone help? I just need to use final cut again, I dont care abotu the blackmagic.

    Thanks.

I had this on my old Oct Mac Pro –

Turn the machine off unplug it from the computer and see if the grachic card is seated correctly … if that is fine plug the old girl back in and hold the power swittch on for 5 – 7 seconds – you will either hear a cry for help in the way of a loud beep or the led on the power switch will flash – this is a PRAM reset – this flashes out all the nastys that can cause issue… failing that trash FCP preferences and see how that goes ..

Good luck and gods speed !
