Select the clip with the keyframes you want to copy, and hit
(Command-C). Then select the clip(s) you want to copy the keyframes too, and Paste Attributes (through the right-click menu, or Alt-V). Select the attributes you want to copy, and they will be applied.
Beware of copying keyframes from images of a different frame size if you are copying scale and position keyframes, as you will get unexpected results. As well, it’s sometimes a little finnicky if the clips are of a different length – the time between keyframes will be different than the original clip.Hope that helps!

I’ve had mixed success with PDF’s in Final Cut – they usually bog my system down.
But check out this handy dandy automator action, that extracts each page of a PDF to a separate jpeg.
https://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/automator/pdfpageextractor.html
Then you can just import all the converted files and edit away.

For an editing/industry related book, try The Conversation by Michael Ondaatje. It goes into editing and film theory and philosophy with Walter Murch. It’s a nice casual read with moments of genius thrown in.

I think this should work…
Select all your clips and put them into a timeline. Select one and apply the Flop filter under perspective. Change the setting to Both. Select all the other clips and paste the attributes of the first clip. Drag them back into their own bin called Inverted in the browser, and the filters should follow.
Cheers!

Thanks for the response. Just one of the many differences between the two platforms, I guess.
Cheers!

Though I don’t remember the name, I once found a free converter that would convert from a .ogg to a proper quicktime file that I could use in FCP. It was PC based, though. I think if you google it, you’ll find it again.
Hope that helps!

Michael,
That was it. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Try creating a folder outside of the User system, for example, right inside your Macintosh HD. This will avoid all the permissions problems with separate users. Or, if you have a separate hard drive other than your media drives, put the project files there instead. Basically when you store your files within a users profile, it gets sticky trying to share with other profiles.
Alternately, if you have a good IT person who knows Macs, they ought to be able to set the permissions to allow you to do what you want, though I don’t know how to do that myself.Hope this helps!

Sorry, I see the answer to my questions 2 posts down.

I just use Apple + 1 through Apple + 5 to get the viewer (1), canvas (2), timeline (3), browser (4), and Effects (5).
I also wanted to toggle, but now that I’m used to it, I actually like this way as it’s faster.
