  • No, you don’t need Null Objects, you can trace the joint (or the bones) directly, just drag them in the Tracer window. Let me know

  • Thank you for your suggestion, I’ll try it as soon as I can. I was just wondering why one would need such workarounds for an apparently common and simple situation, a flat projected texture on a moving object!
    Thanks

  • Hi,
take one or more Tracer Objects and make them trace the joints of your BVH model. Select “Connect all objects” in the Tracing Mode option of the Tracer, you’ll get a moving spline roughly similar to the skeleton of your model (change the order of the joints in the Tracer if you are not satisfied). Create a cube, clone it with a Cloner object, set the Cloner to Object Mode, use the Tracer as Object. Have a look https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7jfb2OSnCU4

  • Thank you, but as far as I understand that tag is working with deformers and polygonal objects. For now I made the Text a polygonal object and solved this way.
    Thanks

  • Well, I could be wrong too, but this is what Camera or Frontal projection should be supposed to do. I mean, there’s not a way to apply a simple gradient or whatever to a not-editable text and then animate that text?

I have the very same problem, there are lot of posts about sticking textures but they don’t seem to solve that simple problem: a Mograph Text Object which texture (i.e. flat projected) doesn’t “slip” when the text is animated with effectors. Did you find a solution?
    Thanks

It looks like upgrading to 11.5.528 I solved the problem.

    Thanks

Sorry, i didn’t… I think it’s a GI problem, so you have to choose a different render engine, or not using GI, or not using fracture

Thank you for your reply, I don’t know how to do that but i think i can figure it out and have a try as soon as possible

Thank u very much for swift reply, i tried it in hurry n it’s working good. I just have to figure out how to make it symmetrical and how to stop it after the first cycle (i guess i can keyframe a slider instead of the time) cause the expression is not very clear for me
