This is a fairly basic solution but if you have a bubble image you could simply link the position propert of the bubble to the bulge effect’s source point via expressions. You would want to use an expression something like this:
layer = thisComp.layer(“Bubble”).position;
fromComp(layer)~Colin

Select your layers then go to Layer > Transform > Auto Orient. Then select Orient towards camera.

Try the compund blur effect.

For the light shimmer across the surface you could try out CC Light Sweep as a quick and easy solution.

Nope motion math no longer exists but you can use the “convert audio to keyframes” assistant the comes with AE. It will create a null layer which has the sliders the represent the audio ampliture of the left channel only, the right channel only, and of both channels. If you need a more detailed solution check out trapcode’s “sound keys” plug-in which allows you to acess the volume of different ranges of sound.

You can’t acess the position of individual verticies without the help of a plug in such as Bresnev Shu’s “Expression effects”, or Profound Effects “Useful things,” both of which (to my knowledge) are no longer being sold. The only thing you can do is set keyframes for “Mask Shape.” You can look in the info pallete to see the actual coordinates of the verticie you are moving but you can not directly acess this data.

I’m not sure as to what you mean by the “position being current” but if you pre-compose the text, the animation will look the exact same as before it was precomposed. The only difference is that the duration of the text layer will change but the animation will look the exact same and the timing will be the same.
As for time remapping resources try these…https://www.editorsguild.com/newsletter/JulAug03/tip_ae_time_remapping.html

The best way to learn how to use time remapping effectively is to read the online help and just play around with it and try out different keyframe interpolation types. Good luck!

You could precompose the layers with whatever preset you are using and then time remap/ time stretch them within the main composition.
