Lets say I have a simple mask shape animation from shape A at frame 1 to shape B at frame 30. Now I move to frame 15 and I see my interpolated mask shape and set a key for this interpolated shape…. fine. Now what I want to do is move SOME of the vertices on the mask at frame 15 back into the same exact position they were in at frame 1. Is there now way to copy and paste individual points? Is there any numeric position information for a vertex that can be altered?

    Hope this is clear

You can’t acess the position of individual verticies without the help of a plug in such as Bresnev Shu’s “Expression effects”, or Profound Effects “Useful things,” both of which (to my knowledge) are no longer being sold. The only thing you can do is set keyframes for “Mask Shape.” You can look in the info pallete to see the actual coordinates of the verticie you are moving but you can not directly acess this data.

    Thanks for the feedback!

What I was afraid of… I suppose I could move this project over to Combustion to complete it. In C4 every vertex on a mask has its own track and function curves that enable per vertex animation control.

    Thanks again,

    Martin
