I have a layer of text that I’d want to blur the ends on. I tried setting two masks inside of each other with one square, defining the outer edge of the blur and the other elliptical, setting the inner edge. I couldnt get the modes set so I’m not getting what I’m looking for.

Am I right in thinking that I can’t create a gradient map – say a long rectangle with a elliptical gradiant that will preserve the center of the text – and mapping a blur effect?

Also – does anyone know how to set the modes for the 2 masks that would get this with masks if this is possible?

    Thanks,
    Josh
