easy fix, just google “windows install cleanup”
run cleanup and remove AE CS3 from window box, then re-install AE and it’s all fixed.
what happened is that installshield files got corrupted.

If you can’t open this software program, it needs to be re-installed. You can open in from start->run then select AE as search param and enter search query.

CTRL+ALT+F fit to comp makes layer same size as composition window.

  • “PNG files looks like panned and corrupted”****

you mean like not all the way rendered? Yes, that is because most likely you have a multiple core system with render frames simultaneously on. PNG’s don’t support that feature. If you want it, go with Targas(TGA) instead at 32bit/pixel RLE lossless.

I actually use JPEG2000 image sequence, which is the movie standard. It uses wavelet compression which is lossless and is 4 times smaller than animation.(note: image seq mode you have to get separately.)

” If the image is adjujsted in telecine, it is important to know where the principal point (the projection of the camera optical center on the film back) lies in the image.”

Film a grid with each prime lens before u shoot.

You can images warp before tracking with Shake, Inferno etc. to work on distortion-free footage.
Pixel Farm, which also produces a Shake, Digital Fusion and AE plugin, can deal with high and low order radial distortions as well as distortions that change over a number of frames. Monet can calulate and export lens distortion data too.

As for erratic keyframes, you could try switching interpolation to Auto Bezier, which will change the keyframes to maintain a smooth transition between keyframes.

It’s talking about the memory settings you have. They are too high and there’s not enough left for AE graphics buffer. AE recommends default settings because of this specific problem.
