Your issue should be fixed by downgrading the driver back to 1.4.25 and firmware to 1.1.16.5.

You can get this driver and firmware from DaVinci Resolve 9.0.4 under the Archive Driver section of the DaVinci Resolve Linux download page here :

Then perhaps you should write your own zero bug software and stop wasting your time here writing things that are of zero use to anyone.

Peter…still waiting for Missile Command so I can play on the Resolve Control Surface Panel…the trackballs are perfect for it. Thought I heard you said after that drink it’ll be in 9.0.4…or maybe it was my drink 🙂

I believe this is an issue with ATI Radeon GPU and OSX 10.7.x and some users have reported on this. Updating to OSX 10.8.2 fixes this issue.

Hi Daniel…there is no RAM preview in DaVinci Resolve. Everything happens in the GPU in real time and the slower the GPU you have, the lesser real time capability you’ll get. You can do a render (cache) to disk to get real time playback.

Tested Cubix Desktop 4 with 3 x GTX680 on OSX 10.8 and no problem. The only driver I had to install is the latest CUDA driver.

Speed was pretty awesome with 3 x GTX680.

Resolve Mac can only run up to 3 GPUs so in this scenario, which GPU will Resolve reject ?

Actually it wouldn’t matter if Resolve rejects the 570 or one of the 285 coz even if Resolve rejects one of the 285 and you end up with 2 x 285s and 1 x 570, everything will still run at the slowest GPU speed, which is the 285.

It would be nice to use the 570 as the GUI in this case but the fear is that the GT120 might end up being one of the GPU and everything runs at that speed which will suck big time.

Sorry…I forgot to add that in the Avid Mediafiles folder, there is a MXF folder. It is in this MXF folder that you create the number folder.

And it’s best to create a new numbered folder for Resolve renders so as to keep them separate from the other Mediafiles and you can keep the number of files in the folder manageable.
