Any PCIe SCSI HBA you can think of ?

I wonder if Astera is going to have a PCIe version.

Hey there Bart…which software did you use to share those SANmp volumes via NFS ?

Have you tried Sharepoint ? I’ve briefly tried it and it works but it uses Samba instead as I was accessing those SANmp volumes on a Windows machine.

Kona2 at the moment does not cross convert from 720p to 1080i and is apparently a hotly requested feature. Hopefully AJA engineering can look into this and best if it can be done on the Kona2 hardware.

Not really sure what your budget is…you may want to check out eCinema’s DCM23 reference grade HD LCD monitor – http://www.ecinemasys.com

I saw it recently at the IBC show and is brilliant. Alot of engineers and colorists have also given the thumbs up for this product. The list price is around US$15K.

How are you mapping your LUNs for your ADTX on 10.3.9 ? I’ve tried with an Apple and an ATTO Celerity dual channel HBA and what I find is that if I map the LUNs to isolate them from the individual FC ports on the ADTX RAID controller, LUN 1 generally will not show up. If I don’t map anything, which means all the LUNs are unmapped, then LUN 0 and 1 (I only have two LUNs created) will show up on the desktop.

I get the same behaviour in Tiger as well.

Is this what you are seeing too ?

How are your two systems connected to the storage ? Is it direct or through a switch ?

Which storage are you using ?

Is the other cloned system also using the ATTO Celerity ?

No…K2 doesn’t cross convert and I’ve confirmed that with AJA engineering.

Hi Marisu,

Just for your reference, I’ve done a two systems SAN using an ADTX FC storage and SANmp SAN software and it’s been working fine so far. The ADTX that we configured is using 15 SATA drives in RAID5 with just one RAID controller which has two FC ports that goes directly to the two Premiere Pro systems running on the BOXX workstation.
