I think that it’s pretty sad that I have to rely on AJA (the HD10AM) to get my clients AVID Adrenaline HD system to use embedded audio with the AJ-HD1200A VTR. Not only does AJA currently make a better product than AVID,
they make the fixes for the current AVID hardware.

    AJA (once again) is amazing.

[Bob Zelin] “AJA (once again) is amazing.”

And they just keep proving it every day. Great story Bob!

Adrenaline software V2.1.5 and 2.1.6 handles embedded audio for SDI only, not HD SDI.
Makes it kind of hard to use a Panasonic AJ-HD1200A with an AVID Adrenaline HD.

I guess you COULD use analog audio with your HD video !

Out of interest Bob, what benefit do you think there is to be gained going digital from the deck to the NLE over going analogue for a very short, balanced, cable run?

I know non-engineers and “creative” people get unnecessarily obsessed by digital because it is “better”, but you know better than that.
