Hope you’re doing fine.
I’ve checked with AJA and they reckon it should be ok. I’m running FinalTouch on this system as well and we suspect it might be the QT version as it refuse to launch but on OSX 10.4.3 it lauches ok.
I’ll give it a shot first and if somethings goes wrong, I can always revert back to 6.5.2 as there are QT reinstallers available to downgrade from 7.0.3 all the way back to 6.5.2.

I suggest you re-post this at the correct AJA forum with more details as there is a AJA Io and AJA Kona forum and you didn’t specify which AJA product you have.
Post more details coz’ people are gonna ask for it inorder to help out.

Yes the Easy-Setup for PAL has problem with wrong field dominance and frame size and we’ve reported them to AJA already.
As for the HDV-PAL issues, we haven’t gotten out feet wet yet but it’ll be great if you can share your issues so we know what to expect. Is it to do with capture, editing or downcoversion ?

I think the easiest way is to capture via Firewire and edit in a native HDV sequence and set the KonaLH in the control panel to downcovert.

Can you elaborate more about the PAL issues that you want Apple to fix ?
I’m in PAL land and I would love to hear about your PAL issues in case I’m not aware of it.

Is the 8 TRS connectors split into 4 Input and 4 Output ?
And is the 4 Output in addition to the 4 XLR output, which means I can have two sets of identical outputs ?

Hi Gunleik,
AJA in PAL land is great. I am in a PAL country and we’ve done many installations with AJA Io series, Kona LS, LH, LHe and Kona 2 and all of them are working fine.
Is there anything specific that you would like to know about AJA in PAL land ? PAL is pretty straight forward actually. It’s 25fps or 25fps…no drop or non-drop frames timecode to worry about.
