    KonaLS, OSX 10.3.9 and Quicktime 7.0.3 ?

    Hi,

    I’ve got a Kona LS system currently still running on OSX 10.3.9 with Quicktime 6.5.2. This was upgraded from a Cinewave system so Quicktime was still left at that version.

    Now with KonaLS, is it safe to update Quicktime to 7.0.3 but still remaining on OSX 10.3.9 ?

    I’d not do that. If it’s not broken, don’t fix it. BUT I’d upgrade to Tiger in a heartbeat, then QT 7 is the only way to go there.

    Hi Jerry,

    Hope you’re doing fine.

    I’ve checked with AJA and they reckon it should be ok. I’m running FinalTouch on this system as well and we suspect it might be the QT version as it refuse to launch but on OSX 10.4.3 it lauches ok.

    I’ll give it a shot first and if somethings goes wrong, I can always revert back to 6.5.2 as there are QT reinstallers available to downgrade from 7.0.3 all the way back to 6.5.2.
