ok gotcha, 50hz power-source on the lights, with 60fps shutter speeds cause a problem, but now the question is how do I fix it?

I am trying these filters in both AE and FCP but not having much luck, if it is a shutter problem, why does it not happen for all of the footage? I received about 3 hours of footage, only the footage shot in this particular lighting had this problem.

This was shot in china, however the raw footage is in this codec
XDCAM EX 1080i60 (35 MB/s VBR)
I had asked for 1080p30 but this was through intermediaries and language barriers so I kind of expect 25p anyway, and figured I would have to do some compressor transcoding. If you see some of my other threads I have posted recently I had trouble even opening this footage. My boss told me they had shot this on a Cannon, and I found out from the files that it was XDCAM, and XDCAM Transfer and Browser both did not work, I had to use cinemon.mp4 to open the files, in QuickTime they all have horrible interlacing lines, although in final cut they seem fine, except of course for these shots that were in this lighting against a white background.

With cinemon i can run them, i just need to trans-code them and get rid of all these interlacing artifacts, it looks like every time there is motion the image is ripped apart! Nauseating!

I am downloading browser 2.16 now to see if that works as well, I don’t know where i got version 2.00.01 as the current version.

December 15, 2010 at 3:47 pm in reply to: Can’t read XDCAM Footage, am I missing files?the reason i didn’t download 2.12 in the first place is because I saw this
XDCAM XFER V2.12 MacOSX10.6
I only have OSX10.5.8 so i figure it wouldn’t work, O well I will give that a try and see what happens. THank you

Further research confirms XDCAM based on the files, however I cannot open any of these files in XDCAM Transfer or XDCAM EX Clip Browser, both programs will see the .mp4 files when trying to import, while the other files will be grayed out, and then once I attempt to import those files, they will say they are not readable.
Here are what the files look like, ever file folder has identical files, I did not see anything like BPAV or CUEUP.XML or MEDIAPRO.XML that I had seen in another thread here

I know it was a Canon camera, I can open these videos it seems with VLC, however I am still getting heaving de-interlacing issues. As well as VLC giving me an error message saying
VLC can’t recognize the input’s format
The format of ‘file:../675_1987_01/675_1987_01.SMI’ cannot be detected.================================================
