Okay thanks, I asked these people to please resend me the files including all the folders and file structure so I could read it. They then sent me the all the rest of the files on the camera, ie .CPI, .MPL, etc. and no folders… ::facepalm:: I may end up needing to purchase this.

So what do you do if you don’t have the structure, someone just sent me a bunch of .MTS files and expected me to be able to open them. I can only view them with VLC, which doesn’t help me use them in FCP.

well regardless of what they should have shot, they shot in 30 because they were handing off the video to Americans; that does not help me fix what I have not though.

  • so then if you need a backup anyway, why even have a raid6? why not just have multiple raid0 arrays?

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:AVCHD_actual_file_structure.jpg

however I still cannot open this file, how am I supposed to open this file without spending money on something like Roxio Toast?

Andrew, what Q level would you recommend for this, I have tried doing this before and it always seems to have no effect unless I turn the Q up so high that it cuts out all the good frequencies when I turn down the gain.
