Flickering Problems
Posted by Christopher Targia on December 12, 2011 at 7:25 pmSo I received some footage from China, shot on XDCAM, 1080HD 30fps, and I’m getting extreme amounts of flickering, is there an easy way to fix this? A good filter or something? Re-shooting is not an option.

December 12, 2011 at 7:48 pmChina is a PAL country…everything is 50hz based, including electrical…and lighting. So the lights are on a different hz rate than your camera (that is 60hz)…so you will get flickering.
Not sure if there is a way to fix this…

Maybe this Boris FX filter will help.

December 13, 2011 at 7:30 pmwell regardless of what they should have shot, they shot in 30 because they were handing off the video to Americans; that does not help me fix what I have not though.
