So I received some footage from China, shot on XDCAM, 1080HD 30fps, and I’m getting extreme amounts of flickering, is there an easy way to fix this? A good filter or something? Re-shooting is not an option.

China is a PAL country…everything is 50hz based, including electrical…and lighting. So the lights are on a different hz rate than your camera (that is 60hz)…so you will get flickering.

Not sure if there is a way to fix this…

Ya, that’s a mess, Like Shane said, don’t know about a fix.
Was this shot from someone from another country? NTSC 60hz land?

this was shot in china by people in china, however they shot it in 30fps without adjusting the shutterspeed

They should have shot at 50/25.

Maybe this Boris FX filter will help.

well regardless of what they should have shot, they shot in 30 because they were handing off the video to Americans; that does not help me fix what I have not though.
