David, that should work since the titles are currently positioned inside the title themselves and are all currently at the default motion position. However it would be a lot easier visually to move them all at once so I can position things in one swoop.

I am also noticing this takes an extremely long time to output files, in FCP, I could export reference files, which would take not much time at all, then compress H.264 files with el gato Turbo.264 HD which was much faster then this. I just want to output a low quality sample.

It did play back, but I still was able to render, does that mean the render was unnecessary? Also I am going to export the file now and when I select match sequence settings, it shows a .mpeg file. The original footage was .mov, shouldn’t the sequence be as well? Did I do something wrong here?

I meant to include this picture in the OP
It is yellow

Turns green after render, I have an hour and a half of footage, so if there is a way I can avoid this, that would be great.
I can work with the footage and play it back, but I need to output the raw to my producer, so I assume I need to render it first?

also if I end up using the ki pros, the fact that I am using p2 currently becomes irrelevant, as I will just be recording on them, and since there is one less step once I bring the footage back to my computer, I think it may be worth it, even if I get another p2 camera.

February 19, 2013 at 2:22 pm in reply to: Adding Camera to studio enviornment : SuggestionsI had been looking at the hpx-250, the 370 is probably out of our price range, also I don’t want to get something that is too much better than the hpx170, if we do a two camera shoot, I don’t want the different angles to look too different. If I ended up getting the ki pros, wouldn’t I not need to buy extra p2 cards? I would just be saving to the ki pros right?
Yea, the duel adapter is hooked up to a 2009 model laptop, it is probably running osx 10.5 or 10.6, I am not sure, I only use it to run the teleprompter and transfer p2 data, so the os was never a concern for me lol.
I probably would not want to invest in the good p2 card reader unless I ended up not getting the ki pros, I like using p2, but the ki pro workflow is so much quicker, I think it might be worth it.

wow, I thought FCPX was not up to par though? And it didn’t have Pro level features etc. etc., has that been fixed?
