They are easy to replace. Just go buy (Online $50.00) the newest/fastest/Pioneer DVR-106 or 107 or 108 or whatever and it’ll slide right in.

I had trouble almost 2 years ago when we dropped M100 and went FCP. I had to transfer a proj. I had problems but changing the EDL type on export from M100 made it work. Sorry I can’t remember which one worked better than the other. Try all the edl types on export. At the least you can transfer a cuts only timeline w/ 2 tracks of audio. Good luck though!

Ya, I bought the SRV2HD 1.5TB Great product. Well built/solid. Reliable. The PCI card comes w/ it and it pop right in and worked. Best price to GB ratio IMHO

We compress spots for electronic delivery w/ “DGSystems” and they require 20mb/s mpeg2 delivery.
For the Mac, we have found Sorensen Squeeze to do the trick. -
I think if you’re going out to tape u will not have an alpha channel.
Bring in the footage – put your super on and then lay out to tape might be the way to go. -
You can only create copywrite DVD by creating a master on a DLT tape and taking it to a replicator. You’ll most likely need an order of a 1000 or more for this. Contact a repitable replicator for the details.

You need a card if u want to capture footage from a tape source.
You can edit 10bit uncompressed w/o a card b/c u r using only stills and text.
You can then compress the finished piece to DVD. If you want to output to tape – then u’ll need a card.
