  • ALPHA on Blackmagic Codec?

    Hi!

Im working on som supers for a concert. Unfortunately theres a lot of them, and the Avid Media Compser is old (9000) so importing them as files is a hopeless thing to do.

Is there any way I can make the graphics into Blackmagic codec with alpha channel? (so that it will send on SDI OUT while using Blackmagic Deck Control).

Or is there a way to send any other codec supporting alpha on SDI OUT?

I think if you’re going out to tape u will not have an alpha channel.
Bring in the footage – put your super on and then lay out to tape might be the way to go.

    Hello,

Doesn’t the Blackmagic support real-time .tga files? Could you render your titles with alpha that way?

I think the live key function only works on a still frame like a bug for network tv.
