Funny you use the word trip…
That’s a lot of cord hanging around a public sporting event.
Do you move around?Can you stagger the battery changes between the 2 cams?

Kidding, I sometime will drop a clip or 5 down past the end for temp holding/storage. Or sometimes in a work area sequence.

Try bringing it in by first ~ opening the media browser, then bring clips into project.

Not per se, but you can select to use preview files for exporting or select the exporting settings to match.

I would keep the fields the same, upper. I would keep the frame rate the same, 25, as well.
What’s the end delivery? What’s the file for?
Going to 720×480 I think you need to make the pixel aspect 1.2 for widescreen.

VBR to 2 pass for one thing and see this pic for the rest:
Outside of that, it’s the best it’s going to be and you’ll have to live with it IMO.

As you’ve learned, you need to shoot higher frame rate then the editing frame rate.
Edit in 24p or 30p.Chris

and get away from the dv codec, it’s horrible.

The prores part is the easy part. Just download the codec to read prores files on a win machine. Don’t think you can write to prores on WIN though. I could be wrong.
But, what card do you have for capture from tape?
Converting to 50i will be the challenge.Chris
