Well you should un-install compressor and re-install and get it working again. However, for your immediate problem, export from FCP using “Current Settings”
Import that file into DVDSP. FIRST, go into the preferences in DVDSP and set your settings, NTSC or PAL, The data rate to encode media, etc.
Burn disc. It will be SD.
Compressor custom settings will yield better results.Alternatively you could nest your HD Sequence into a SD one.

Either you have an I/O card where you can play the sequence out in realtime to an ext. DVD recorder OR you export your sequence “Current Settings” to a file and compress that to DVD files and create/burn a DVD on your comp.

We use Episode to encode masters to wmv files.

Yes, DVD (SD) specs are Mpeg2 720×480, Now, if you want widescreen you must create in anamorphic.
That being said, if the playback is on a HD-TV, then you should go big or go home (JMO)
Create it in full HD 1920×1080 29.97i or 24p
