    Hi Jonathan,

You will need the Tangent Hub for the Element panels and Resolve for both Mac and Windows versions.

There is a Resolve Configuration manual for Element on the Support page of the Tangent website: https://www.tangentwave.co.uk/support.asp
Look under the Element area on the Support Page.

    Cheers,

    Chris

    Hi Al,

    Just to clarify things……

The Tangent Hub is supported by Resolve. This is how Resolve talks to the Element panels.

The new Tangent element-Vs iPad app will work with Resolve.

    Cheers,

    Chris

    Hi,

Have you tried removing the KVM and just trying the Wave panel directly connected to the computer?

KVM devices are generally used for keyboard and mouse. The Wave is not a keyboard or a mouse so it may not work with a KVM.

If you wish to extend the USB cable length we can recomend the Lindy range of USB extenders and hubs. But note that you should not use a KVM.

    Kind regards,

    Chris

    Hi,

The Good news is we are in the process of getting foam inserts made to fit the 1510 Peli case. This will allow you to fit all four Element panels in the case along with cables and USB hub etc.

We hope to have these available by early May. We will be supplying the foam inserts only – it will be up to the user to buy the Peli case. We’ve done it this way as it keeps the cost down to the user – they can buy the case cheaper than we can supply it for.

From what I can figure out, the 1510 case is a lot smaller than the 1700 case 🙂 So, you can pack your Element panels up smaller than you think, so size is definitely not an issue 😉 And the 1510 is “carry on” luggage size 🙂

    Cheers,

    Chris

Something else to watch out for:

Technically speaking, each panel requires 500mA. So if you use a powered hub then you need to make sure that the power supply (and hub) are able to deliver 500mA to each USB port on the hub.

    Just to clarify:

If you by the Kb (knob panel) to use with Resolve then you will need to buy the Bt (button panel) as well. You need the Bt to switch between modes on the Kb.

As far as I know you can use the Tk and Mf panels on their own with Resolve.

    Hi Joe,

I’ve replied to the email your sent our support. Sorry to hear that you have a smashed USB connector.

I am not sure how you did it – out of the thousands of Wave panels we’ve sold this is the first “smashed” USB 🙂

    Hi Frank,

With the CP200 panels which are Ethernet devices, 90% of support calls were down to people not knowing how to configure the Ethernet on their computer or software packages.

With USB it’s just “plug and play” and we’ve found it to be rock solid with Wave. Any problems tend to come from people running things like USB Overdrive.

The simplicity and reliability of USB is why we’ve opted to use USB on Element.

Even extending USB over long distances is not an issue these days. Lindy do a number of cheap extenders that we’ve tested.

    Cheers,

    Chris
