Any ideas for a Pelican type case for the element, all panels?

    Thanks!

Not sure how much of a footprint the Element has compared to the Eclipse, but I believe they are similar… i have a Pelican 1700, Fits the Eclipse perfectly, with room for the power supply. The one I got didn’t come with the fancy cubed foam, and I had to cut into the lid foam a smidge, but all in all, very pleased.

If all four panels are used, then Element is about twice as wide as Eclipse. Another reason why I chose MC Color over the Element.

According to the developers websites, the Element is approximately 31″ x 8″ and the Eclipse is 26″ x 12″…

Bigger yes, but not THAT much bigger… So the 1700 should be fine, interior dimensions are 35″ x 13″.

    Hi,

The Good news is we are in the process of getting foam inserts made to fit the 1510 Peli case. This will allow you to fit all four Element panels in the case along with cables and USB hub etc.

We hope to have these available by early May. We will be supplying the foam inserts only – it will be up to the user to buy the Peli case. We’ve done it this way as it keeps the cost down to the user – they can buy the case cheaper than we can supply it for.

From what I can figure out, the 1510 case is a lot smaller than the 1700 case 🙂 So, you can pack your Element panels up smaller than you think, so size is definitely not an issue 😉 And the 1510 is “carry on” luggage size 🙂

    Cheers,

    Chris

That’s perfect! No back to coloring instead of case design!
LOVE the element series! BM- PLEASE allow mapping!

    Hi Lorne,

We are only doing inserts for the Element panels. If you are still interested then keep an eye on the Tangent Wave website. Hopefully the inserts will be available sometime end of May.

    kind regards,

    Chris

Are those inserts for the Pelican 1510 available, and if so, where?

    Thanks,
