What’s a CCTV? Do you mean a CRT? If so, I don’t think there’s any way of removing those lines. Call it a look.

    Have a wonderful day.

Can you export an aiff file from FCE? You could take that into Audacity, or you could try SoundSoap, which is a killer app when you learn to use it properly. They have a great tutorial at the Bias web site.

    Have a wonderful day.

    Rob,

There’s a free plugin called “Edit B Subtitle” which works really well. I forget where I got it though, so do a Google.

    Jeeze,

I have an X 800 XT, wonder if it does the same?

FYI I have around 8 Lacie units, including 2 Big Disk Extremes, but I have in the past lost 4 LaCie units including a BDE which fried one month after I bought it, so go figure…

David Bogie: You want good spacing, kerning, alignment and leading, all quite beyond the scope of stock text filters.

I disagree. While I hate FCPs text generators, Title 3d DOES excellent kerning, spacing, alignment and the like PLUS you get the flexiblity of being able to change text weight or style, adding a little outline if needed, tracking animation and many more options not available with a Photoshop file. Plus, you have the luxury of copying and pasting the clips with the attributes you like, and simply retyping or pasting in new text. All without round tripping to Photoshop.

It may be there’s a length limit in Title Crawl, but I have yet to come up against it.

    Have a wonderful day.

About the best you can hope for with that rig is any one of the FW 800 based RAIDS. G-Tech and LaCie make a bunch of these. I don’t think you can hook up a SATA array to that Mac. So it’s pretty limited to whatever the max throughput of your FW RAID is.

    Hi Adam,

One of the things I don’t hate about Boris is it’s Title Crawl. It works really, really well. Buttery smooth and very adjustable.

You will still have control over type style, spacing, kerning etc., a huge advantage over a PS file.

TIP: add returns at the end of the roll to make the text go off screen.

    Have a wonderful day.

    Hi Leif,

You would have been better off capturing to ProRes to begin with, but short of that, change the compressor of your sequence to ProRes and render. Then, DON’T send from the timeline, export a self-contained movie to send to Compressor.

You can process the file to widescreen or crop off the sides for SD. Compressor will interpret the frame rate correctly.

    Have a wonderful day.
