Hey Chris,

I’d try the Compressor route, and be patient enough to let the frame controls take their time and do their magic. Depending on your materials, try short tests with different settings first.

You need to add Flip4Mac to your QuickTime. There is some level of freebee, but at some point you have to pay or output will be limited, forget the exact details. http://www.telestream.com

Joe’s Filters has one that does this, and it will always look distracting, but, if he doesn’t move too much, you might try the CHV clone tool and clone a piece from his shirt next to the logo.

Well, no, short of playing the timeline and spotting them. If you don’t recognize an effect you would have to click it into the viewer.

This is a somewhat strange question. How are the effects explained to you, can you include the descriptions? Are they described in your script?

Many plugin makers include at least a screen shot of their effect, some show movies. Also, each effect resident in Final Cut are explained in the manual.

You can make custom wipes in Photoshop or buy them and use in the gradient wipe, there’s also one called Softwipe which is quite nice, I think it’s by CHV.
