Is there a way to blur out parts of an image in Final Cut. In one particular clip I am trying to blur out the logos on an actors shirt. I’ve got a shape mat over it now, but that’s very distracting.

    Any help would be appreciated!

Joe’s Filters has one that does this, and it will always look distracting, but, if he doesn’t move too much, you might try the CHV clone tool and clone a piece from his shirt next to the logo.

    Have a wonderful day.

Dupe the clip to V2, place a shape matte and center and size to the logo. Add gaussian blur. as the object moves, keyframe the center of the matte.

Thanks Dennis! That worked great! I have another question, I’m new to using keyframes and mattes. How do I keyframe it so that it moves with the object?
