I’m just guessing here, but try manually changing the sequence settings at the start when you create the sequence. You can only change the frame rate right at the start, but it might work.

I like a lot of things about Boris Title 3D, but it’s drop shadow is not one of them. I ALWAYS do my drop shadows in the motion tab. They always work and look MUCH better.

With due respect, running the Handbrake clips through Compressor to ProRes or uncompressed will work in FCP, but the quality will suck with the biggest capital “S” you’ve ever seen. I know, that’s how I got burned with this stupid tool last year. Client forced Handbrake on me.

Streamclip is really easy, just open up the VOB files, and go to export/Quicktime, all the codecs are available including ProRes, and you can set your frame rate, everything. Totally viable tool for this.

Handbrake and FCP do not play well together. You are much better off using Mpeg Streamclip.

I use a MBP at work and can access any and all files off our server using the wireless link built in. I can find out what kind of box we’re hooked up to, but I’ll have to ask our IT guy who works off-site.

Well,

To think I paid 1600 bucks for my 23″ ACD, what, 5 years ago and it’s (knock on wood) still working? Thankfully, it doesn’t have that hateful brick. But, it sits along side my 24″ Samsung which only cost about $350, and frankly, I use it more than the ACD. It doesn’t have the component inputs like the Dell, but hell, it’s a great monitor of the price.
