another 1080i/24pa question. Yikes but easy.

Well… for starters there’s no such thing as 1080i24pa… Which camera and format are you shooting? HDV? P2? If it’s 1080p 24 (most likely it’s that) just capture it using that preset. Is this tape or?

IS TOO…IS TOO! My HPX-170 P2 camera has this setting. Shoots 1080i at 29.97, but the 24pA setting means that I can remove pulldown on ingest and get 23.98 at 1080p.

But yeah…we need to know what format dude!

Im shooting with p2 cards. Also the hvx200 has a 1080i/24pa setting, this is so you can edit in a true 23.98 sequence in final cut pro but im using final cut pro 5 so there is no setting for 1080i/24 24pa for that matter. All im seeing is 1080i/60 1080i/30.

I’m just guessing here, but try manually changing the sequence settings at the start when you create the sequence. You can only change the frame rate right at the start, but it might work.
