  • Thanks.

I have been saving as Illustrator 8 files.

What are the correct import settings. Is this something I am setting in the C4d Settings ? Or is it something I set up when saving the Illustrator File ?

  • Hi. First thing to try is:

    1. Make sure your comp is selected then hit home to go to the first frame. Then hit B.
    2. Then hit end to go to the last frame in your comp. Then hit N.

THe other option is when you go into your redner settings, to make sure that the in and out settings for your render are the entire composition.

It soudns like your work area has one frame selected.

Also, depending on what shortcuts are set on your computer the above won’t work.

That’s the first thing to try.

    Chris,

I am new at Cinema 4d as well but I thought it looked great. Did you put it on a huge sphere or is that falloff from the camera ? I don’t know a better way to do it. I don’t even have the hair module. Thanks.

February 27, 2008 at 10:21 pm in reply to: Modules for Older Versions

    Adam,

Thanks for the help. I tried Maxon and they said that they don’t offer it anymore. All I need is to buy a serial number but for whatever reason they don’t do that. I guess there trying to force people to upgrade but then they are cutting out a part of the video force that doesn’t have the budget to upgrade until they have use for some of the modules.

We bought the base package because no one here knew the program so we wanted to make sure that we started learning it first before spending 3k+ for all the modules. Now I have learned some of the program and feel comfortable with it enough to move into some more advanced stuff and s could use some modules but we have to upgrade the whole package since we didn’t buy them at the time.

It worries me because I just bought the base package for myself with Mograqph but didn’t have the money for a bundle. Now I feel lke I have to start gettng modules before the next version comes out or I am out of luck.

Anyway, Sorry for the rant. I will look into the Remotion Plug. Thanks again Adam.

February 21, 2008 at 2:46 pm in reply to: Random Crashes

    David,

Thanks for the responses. I don’t have the new quicktime and Open GL is off and I don’t use Multiprocessing as for some reason it seems to make my machine render slower.

I did get tghe file to render by deleting the nosie filter but it seems odd that that filter would cause the whole program, to just crash.

And I am still haveing random crashes. I hoestly don’t know what to do and don’t know what will happen the next time I have a really complex spot to do.

    I guess we’ll see.

    Dan,

Thanks for the response. Just a couple questions. Degree per tick and Frames per tick. Are they just random names you gave to those two things or are they Expression sprecific? Do they have to be written like that or could you have just put x & y but used those to be more descriptive?

I would have had no idea to do what you wrote. Are there any books or documentation soley about expressions ?

    Thanks

I have found out you can only demo modules through the demo version if anyone is interested. So you would have to have both installed on your machine.
