I think so. Now that I remember better they were optodisc dvd-r’s.
I only used them one time. Since then its been Ritek all the way
and no returns after doing 10’s of thousands. -
Writing the dummy data on a pioneer A03 2x drive
was murder. I recall some princo discs taking 20 minutes each to finalize. -
I’m extremely pleased with motion.
I can do several layers of SD all in real time with no problem.
Running it on a Quad G5 with 4gb ram though. 🙂

If you have the space to capture HDCam as uncompressed 10-bit, thats
what I would do (even though HDCam is 8-bit) to avoid the downsizing
of DVCProHD -

its my understanding that the HDLink is built into multibridge extreme (I have)
Our Dell 2405 displays great images with it.
You can’t go wrong with the price/performance of a Dell LCD.

I agree with you completely. it would be VERY close imo.
But there are those that would disagree because the NTSC monitors
operate in a different color space than HD. I’ve heard the phosphors
in the tube are different as well.perhaps somebody with real world experience in both could comment.
I do color grading on my sony lcd at home, but I have it calibrated
(by my eye) The interesting thing is, what I see on my LCD is what
I see on my television when doing DVD previews. So its “good enough”
for me. -

I have a JVC HD100U and have been meaning to try that out but its been crazy at the post house this week.
