same here but we use a huge systems fiber channel 1.6tb disk array for storage.

how in the world are we supposed to make our own lookup tables
if the utility shuts down the prevew we need to calibrate from?thats why I asked about lut settings in a post below.
I need my SDI monitor to match the LCD and its not quite there yet,
but it certainly could be. -
while we’re on the subject, I’m experiencing odd synch issues
with the Multibridge Extreme.sometimes the picture is out of synch going to tape on the monitor
but records stable to Digibeta.yet in preview windows with motion2 or fcp5 it shows out of synch
at first then jumps in synch.We don’t want our clients seeing that in sessions as it looks bad.

so just to confirm, there is no way to just make it happen without dragging something
to one of the video windows?when I edit to tape, will the bars and tone I specified (tab next to the video window)
and the slate I loaded in go first? -
I’ve heard (Graeme Natress) say capture HDV as HDV.
Edit/color correct/ as HDV.output the HDV in an uncompressed timeline and you should not notice any difference from capturing uncompressed from the start.

I updated o/s x to 10.4.5 and consistent preview in motion2 and final cut 5 is good.
The extended desktop function is still a little hokey though.

I’m using a rather expensive shielded DVI cable. It displays the desktop perfectly.
If I go to the blackmagic settings then close it, the desktop usually comes back up again.

I love my Dell 2405 and would not trade it for a cinema display for free! 🙂

There really isn’t any reason it should. Thats something the source files should be taking care of.
