Your graphics will look awful with the DV Codec.
I pretty much do everything in 10-bit uncompressed regardless
of what format it is. Been doing it that way for 10 years now. -
I own the HD100 cam as well as the BR-HD50U deck. Nice equipment!
so right now your edit is in HDV format correct?
Your other sources, are they all SD?
Are they 16×9 or 4×3?What is your final delivery master tape, SD or HD?

I’ve done HD 720 hardware conversion to SD uncompressed on my multibridge extreme through the analog component inputs.
Nice results too.
The Multibridge Extreme is an amazing piece of hardware.
They have added 2 features to it that it didn’t even have when I got it new last year. -
Are you outputting to tape and sending it off for color correction?
if so, what tape format?

If all you need is for monitoring perhaps the HDLink is all you need?

DVCProHD sounds like the best for your situation.

It all has to be interlaced.DV to mpeg2 is going to look less than perfect no matter what you do.

One I reason I would do that is to get a better looking final image.

DVD Studio Pro can as well.
Be sure you use uncompressed pcm audio though, or you won’t have sound on the Toshiba player. Also the player needs to have firmware prior to 2.0 for dvd studio pro authored discs to work.
