Multibridge Exreme only for viewing video on 30″ display
Posted by Macscorpio on February 7, 2007 at 10:14 amPlease help,
I would like to purchase BlackMagic Multibridge Extreme for monitoring video from HD deck on Apple 30″ display. I would not be able to connect Multibridge Extreme PCIe card on a computer. Is this possible??
Thanks a lot for help.

(this is the dvi-d output of a multibridge extreme)

wow, i thought they would have fixed that with a firmware upgrade by now.

Yes. the Multibridge Extreme will work as a stand alone converter. You might need to set it up while connected via USB using the included Multibridge Utility software but once that is done, the settings will stick and you don’t have to have it connected to your PC/Mac anymore.

Hi Borjis,
Not possible as the hardware required is different and will not be upgradable by firmware. The 30″ requires a dual link DVI-D connection while the HDLink has single link DVI-D.
