add a crop filter to the first red footage clip in the sequence…set the upper and lower % to what you want.
then copy the filter and paste it to all of the red clips.

I had to transcode some of that footage a year ago and only after effects could
read them and it took all day to convert 6 seconds.what version of premiere are you on?
what storage are you playing it from?
I thought CC 2015 could handle that
just fine now. -
Tad, did you have issues running DVDSP in Mavericks?
It works in both Mavericks & Yosemite last I checked.
I still use DVDSP for all DVD work and use Encore with BluStreak Tracer for Blu-Ray.

If you want monitoring the “correct” way then an interface is required.
I’m using a Kona3g for 4k monitoring.

Ya it’s not a scratch disk setting to fix this. It appears to be coded into premiere.
For example, export an .omf from premiere and all of the
temp files it uses to build that omf will be processed
in a folder on the system / c drive.annoying.

To this day I have found ProRes transcoding in a Premiere workflow to be a complete
waste of time and storage space. Unless the rare occasion where audio sync
gets messed up…had that happen with some h.264 footage once. only way to
keep sync was transcoding to prores.I know others disagree, but that’s how I roll.
Just finished a 90 minute doc yesterday…4 different file formats, nearly 1tb in
source footage and graphics…all went without a hitch.That’s why I like that premiere will ingest everything AND the kitchen sink
without the need to transcode. Unless your editing 4k on a NON top of the line
system..offline editing or transcoding just doesn’t make sense to my world. -
I know myself and many others have requested that adobe use temp file locations
in the scratch disk locations.I don’t want ANY files on my system disk, just on my raid.

There is a checkbox on the exporter, near bottom I think that says “Import into project”
uncheck that.
there is also one in the export dialog when taking still frames.

I’ve been using CC 2015.0.2 on both Mavericks & Yosemite with clients.
It’s been surprisingly stable. Sometimes when scrubbing through footage
2014 would crash, but 2015 hasn’t. Just had one crash in 2 weeks of editing.pretty solid!
