well, if you have 3d plugins for final cut pro and a 3d monitor, you would test it that way.

You just encode for dvd with the 16:9 option enabled in compressor.
DVDStudiopro recognizes that flag and formats it properly.
The DVD player plays it on a 16:9 widescreen tv filled, and letterboxes it on a 4:3 screen.
It’s really that simple.
Where people complicate things is in editing and not maintaining anamorphic aspect ratio’s. This can be a problem when mixing HD & SD content in the same sequence.
Or they forget to encode it for DVD with the 16:9 option enabled. I see that a lot. -

I don’t know how to change it other then exporting the audio as stereo then importing it back in.

1. you should be able to just capture it like a regular video.
2. capture it as a prores file
the other option besides frame seq. is side by side. either left and right or up and down.
The big question is, do you have 3D capable BD encoder software like DO Studio?

Lots of us use pref manager.

March 4, 2011 at 5:11 pm in reply to: Setting Black, Chroma and Luminance Level for Broadcast ???.It’s important that you set those levels on each individual clip with a color correction tool. clamping the entire thing may make things not look so good.
then use the broadcast safe filter and set it on “extremely conservative”.
I’ve never had a problem using that workflow.

yes it can make a transport stream.
if both video and audio files have the same name you can open the video file with mpeg stream clip and it should automatically pick up the sound too.
then export as a .ts from the export menu.

if it’s for Comcast that might not work then. (renaming the .vob)
do you have Adobe media encoder?
comes free with after effects cs4 and other adobe video products. It does a great job and I use that for Comcast tv spot encoding.
you should be able to use mpeg stream clip though to mux those files together. multiplexing = combining the .m2v & .ac3 into 1 file.
Are you absolutely certain comcast wants .ac3 audio?
My recent spec sheet from them only accepts mpeg layer II audio. They also accept h.264 quicktime files at the automatic bitrate setting.

keep using the quick cluster settings.
import the video to be compressed.
add the setting you wish to use.do a save as with compressor and save the project somewhere.
exit compressor.
now stop and restart the qmaster service.
now open the compressor project and see if the cluster shows up in the submission.
if not, exit compressor and open the project and try again.
usually by the third time at the latest, my 2nd mac machine will finally see the cluster. very annoying and never happens on my primary machine.
thats how I get it done.
