Qmaster woes
Hello all,
I had Qmaster working in a quickcluster a while back, and it was great. It’s been a while, and now I can’t seem to get it to work. If I set up a Quickcluster, it doesn’t show up as available in the dropdown in Compressor. If I instead choose “Services and cluster controller” in the Qmaster pref pane, I see the services in the browser in Qadministrator, but there are no controllers available. It seems like my computer is incapable of creating a Qmaster controller for some reason. Any ideas?
OS 10.6.5, Qmaster 3.5.2, Compressor 3.5.3

keep using the quick cluster settings.
import the video to be compressed.
add the setting you wish to use.do a save as with compressor and save the project somewhere.
exit compressor.
now stop and restart the qmaster service.
now open the compressor project and see if the cluster shows up in the submission.
if not, exit compressor and open the project and try again.
usually by the third time at the latest, my 2nd mac machine will finally see the cluster. very annoying and never happens on my primary machine.
thats how I get it done.
