A lot of the playback servers out there support NTFS formatted drives
but there are many that don’t.

All DCP servers can read linux ext3 (with an inode of 128)

So every DCP i do goes on a linux ext3 inode 128 formatted disk
    to ensure no problems loading.

I’ve seen that too…you go to export and it says it will take much longer
than you want, but once it gets passed that f/x heavy section it speeds way up.

Bryce, one of my contractors has that same camera and showed
once that one of those two has a higher recording bit rate.

I would shoot on that one whatever it is.

Well it could be stuttering on youtube because of the buggy implementation
of html5 on firefox. (if they were viewing it that way)

Chrome plays youtube videos much smoother.

anyhoo, whenever I do youtube or other online videos
I always do a 5mb target, 5mb max vbr and the quality
    of picture is usually great.

What bit rate did you use?

February 5, 2016 at 6:21 pm in reply to: MKV into Encore for Blu-ray authoring

If these are truly mkv made directly from a BD disc, all you
need do is demux the video and audio.

then import those into encore with transcoding turned off.

again it only works if it’s an mkv directly off a blu-ray disc

if it is a re-encode from a BD encore won’t take it.

February 1, 2016 at 7:29 pm in reply to: Cant drag monos file to 5.1 tracks?

Shane is referring to a 5.1 audio file…that is a .wav file with the 6 mono tracks all in one file.

since you have them in mono seperate tracks, you will have to make 6 mono tracks and put them in that way.

delete the 5.1 tracks you added.

After that you need to setup the mixer in premiere so that they are properly routed.

    Agreed.

Once you switch to premiere you’ll wish you had much sooner.

In my experience transcoding footage is seldom if ever needed
any more. I have not had to in years.

mpeg2 program stream at 5mbps vbr should work
that should include mpeg1 audio layer II audio.

  • Are you certain both machines are running the exact same
version of premiere? (and both pc or both mac, not one pc one mac)

    That shouldn’t be happening.

Maybe you discovered a new bug to report to Adobe
